Lais Tonso is a Brazilian architect and artist based in North West London. 

 

She started painting to escape from the pragmatic and overwhelming construction environment. 

 

Her practice focuses on the process of creating art through introspection and silence. She produces abstract compositions using acrylics and limited colour palettes, exploring colour fluidity, texture and depth. 

 

Her media choice is a depiction of her own inner conflict: the technical approach to projects and the non-analytic approach to art.
